Patch V1.2 Troubleshooting

Hey Folks ! thanks 4 ur cooperation in advance.

My specs

Athlon xp 2000
ddr 512
gf4 mx 440 abit siluro
slive
xp home


I have the BF installed & with some versions of the detonator doesn't work, a black screen pop up and them return to windows.
with the original deton. from the cd, it work's perfect.
But if i install the v 1.2 comes the same problem of the black screen and the to windows. ( ??? ) cause i wanna play the new map.

Another thing, yesterday i try to install the mod desert combat and i cannot find the CUSTOM GAME button, to activate this mod.

Someone knows what's the problem?

Some 40 series det drivers are known to have problems with bf. Just experiment till you find some drivers that don't freeze up.

As for custom game you just click on multiplayer and it is in that group. Here is a screen. My cursor is on the custom game button.

desert combat requires the 1.2 patch. What specificly happens when you try to install it?

Look, i know what is the problem...

It seems ... to be i have the wrong version ... like a beta version
cuz in my screen in the tab of MULTIPLAYER doesn't appear the TAB CUSTOM GAME.

So ... i have to find a patch or download a diferente version.

in the taskbar when i minimize the game said

The problem is the next.

I install the patch 1.2.

I run again the game.

Comes the black screen to iniciate the game.

But i doesn's start, just pop a window black, and then return to windows.

Same problem with the detonators NEW versions.

try setting your desktop resolution to your game resolution. Turn off an backround programs.

Seems that lots of people get this black screen thing. I occasionally do, myself. But if i want a minute it will go away and load the game.
