Peasant walk trough buildings and no one els.

As title says..

I want my peasants to walk trough buildings but not any other units..

How do i do that?

OR

is it possible to put the Circle of Power pathing on my buildings and only have the peasant allowed to walk trough it?

Hmm . . . Maybe make a trigger where if the Peasant enters the region / area of the tower, it instantly teleports him to the other side?

well its a vampirism alike map.. but the area´s the peasants are in are custom made so they arent allowed to go where they havent destroyed the doodads..

so flying would make them go everywhere heh..
and the teleport thing will be a very troublesome and not work the way i want.


dunno if i can lower the colision size so the peasants can slip trough but not the slayers? (BUT still keep the pathing, you know so you cant place em right up against eachother anyway to block the peasants)

You could have a trigger that when a unit comes within say, 10 distance of any building then it turns off the units collision.

Another trigger idea:
I'm thinking Wind Walk, use whatever you want.
When a Peasant reaches area/region of tower, they get 'Wind Walk' buff, which allows them to have no collision for that building?

well the "feature" is mainly only gonna be used for building stuff so when a peasant is done building he aint gonna be placed inside some hole surrounded by stuff!

if he blocked himself in that is.

(My peasant got Orc building)

i sure do, but with some recent changes, that system aint useful in all cases. so im in need of another way.

--- He doesn't go invisible, it just gives him zero collision for that building, FYI.

that would require a lot of regions i think heh.. reason my system wont work in this case is:

When you mass place buildings, your peasant aint exactly gonna be placed next to the constructed building all the times.. sometimes he´s actually standing pretty far away..

i dont supose there is a way to make a MAX to how far he can be when constructing in constants or object editor?


EDIT: I then solved that by giving the peasant the orc building... but then a new problem occurs..
now the peasant can actually get placed on the wrong side of a wall etc. which is fatal heh

You don't have to use regions I don't think :confused:
Just if the unit comes within X range of X building, he gets the buff?

Just make sure he's only able to walk through certain buildings and that, and not all things :) .

how do i add a buff? heh

and btw, windwalk cant walk trough doodads anyway so think thats solved.

and can i edit the buff so he aint invisible?

You can change the properties of Wind Walk I'm assuming.
And make a hidden spell maybe that's always active.
I'm thinking VIA spellbooks, but I've never used them.

Scratch the whole Wind Walk idea lol.

Make a custom ability that makes the unit have zero collision for buildings, or just zero collision in general [since there's not much a Peasant isn't supposed to go through in a vampirism].
Make the ability always active and put it in a hidden spellbook.
Problem solved I think :D ?

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left.
