I don't know if and how much in this direction has been done so far, yet with all the wicked ideas and suggestions for features concerning gameplay, battlenet and the Editor of Starcraft II, there is a true need to communicate our expectations with Blizzard. In the name of TH and the ongroing Starcraft II community, we have to adress Blizzard so they get hold of our expectations.
Therefore we'd have to make sure that
...a whole community - and not just a bunch of nerds - stands behind these suggestions
...the ideas, features and suggestions are well-presented, spot-on without beating around the bush, and without leaving space for contradictions
there's nothing wrong with daydreaming, but at some point, the dreams need to realize!
I'd say it's time to put together our personal "wishlist". This could be structured as follows:
introductory words: adress Blizzard to demonstrate the relevance of our petition (relevance both only for us, and for them)
main part:
- additional gameplay features
- Battlenet features
- Starcraft II Editor features
finaly words: among other things agreeing that we do not seek financial compensation from the intellectual property of our ideas
The whole thing can be worked over a few times, until most of us agree on format and content.
Now is the right point of time to focus our expectations! I'm sure that with skill, perseverance and some luck, we can accomplish this goal and get them to at least take our suggestions into account.
