Pheonix Fire Buff?

Why is it, that when I create an ability based off of Pheonix Fire give it no buffs or anything and set cooldown to 1 second, it will only shoot once and for some reason gives the target the Pheonix Fire buff.

If this is unclear please tell me.

Because it has to give something a buff when it casts because of its duration, change the buffs icon to None and it wont show up! Doesnt work on abilities or anything so dont get exited (It turns green)

I think i didn't explain it good enough. Just because it doesnt show up doesn't mean it's not there. Have you ever played battle ships? With the Items, they give an ability based off of pheonix fire. Then he makes it a certain damage and cooldown. so say it was a cooldown of 1 second. The battleship fires off a shot every one second. But with my ability for some reason it fires them off everyone 1 second liek I wasted it to, but once the first arrow hits, it stops. Because, for some reason, its giving the creep the pheonix fire buff. Even though my skill doesnt have any buffs.

I hope that explains it abit clearer.

Lower the duration then, dont set it to 0 though. If the cooldown is 1.00 then duration should be .9

Yah, I just figured it out, I gotta set the duration to like .01 and it works great!
