Please Please help a noob mapmaker out

[Help me plz]

How do I make a custom hero
And how can I path spwan creeps if I want to make a maul or td
Also how do I program a trigger?

trigger programing is very complicated... what i did was played with them on a test map with all of the units and buildings on the game... if you are new at making a map dont start on a big project if you do not know how to do eveything...

to make a costom hero, go to the unit editor and make a new unit, select the choice hero and costomize it to your liking

you need to know more about triggers, if you are a "noob" trigger programer...
if you want to make pathing maps

2) Ahhhh.... thats easy.... you can go here to find out about creep pathing.

3) Trigger Programing... wow never heard of that before . To get better at triggers you can do one or all of the following:
- Experiment (my favorite... just to mess around and have fun )
- Go to the custom maps that blizzard made as tutorials for making maps. (I used them myself -- they're a get help)
- If you have a question with a certain trigger... well post it here

How do I make a custom hero

Goto Object Editior (F6) in Warcraft III's World Editor (The Frozen Throne). Make sure "Units" tab is selected. Pick the Hero which is most like the Hero you wish to custom make. Select the "New Custom Unit" icon (Ctrl+Shft+N). Change Name of Hero and hit OK. In the right side window, pick whatever changes you wish to make. Maybe it is just me, but are there alot of new people posting all of a sudden? (I know this isn't exactly the right thread, but oh well) Well, for triggers, i would definitely recommend experimentation. That is probably the best way you will understand how things work.

its like how do i make a cure for cars breaking down or i need a cure for cancer. there are many cuases and no one soluiton works for all of them (i got that bit about comparing fixing breaking cars and cancer from my science teacher(thanks dude))

hey, need help with triggers to

whenever i make a trigger, it deletes it when i trie to save. i made a hero revivle, and a bunch of other stuff, but i cant save with out it deleting.

help me!!!

What version of the map editor do you have?

Problems with saving maps come when:

1) your computer hasn't enough available memory (rare, a MicroSoft problem), or

2) you are using a locked map and trying to "revise" it, or

3) you are using a third-party mapping program not made by Blizzard

There may be additional circumstances, but the above cover most.
