Why do I upset her so?

Trying to make a joke

As she walks away
I feel the pain
I follow her but I can’t make her stay
She runs where I can’t go

Trying to hold the tear
I stay there facing my fear
I have to go
I walk away

The next place I go
I hope it will be better than here

Commenting on another's work should not be done unless that person truly wants comments.

Harsh comments like the one done should not be done unless the person truly wants an honest and full response.

I was working on another forum a little bit before I posted this message which was extremely harsh, word by word criticism. I was in that mindset.

Once again, I apologize =)

Also, some poems are written to be literal. Most music is infact literal and a lot of people greatly enjoy that. It's all about a person's own opinions and preferences.

Some people enjoy symbolism and some are frustrated by it. All in all, to one person a poem can be one of the greatest works of all time and to another it isn't so great.

What am I getting at here? I'm not quite sure. I guess the only thing that can really be criticized about any poem is the mechanics of the poem as that is the only thing not based on opinion but based on fact.

GMan, with this in light, you posted a 9/10 poem, good job. I'll keep my own opinions out of my posts from now on ^_^

Hopefully this remedies any ill feelings.

It seems that people have different feelings regarding this post. Some people feel that it was unjust that this post be deleted, that it was not a flame in any way, and that it should be fully allowed because of the support, reasons behind the argument, examples of how to improve, and so forth.

I'm letting those people who are rating this edited post as bad now because it was deleted be heard.

I explained fully why I deleted this post, and hopefully everyone understands everything that has been going on.

That was quite a poem. not as good as yours... but very good.
I'ma trying writing so new poetry... I think it'd be better then that one I originally submitted. second poem I'd written in years. I can't submit it in this one, but maybe another.
lol where is Seth to bring you down from you're Pedestal? (He was a really great writer, admin who left for another forum site he created. I'm not insulting you or anything, just you're a really good writer and seems like you're on a Pedestal to me <3)
