Halo does not have to do anything. Winners never have to host, they're just given the ability. If not, it falls on either me or Conan and probably me because these contests seem to be more my thing than his.

I think for PC6, we might be giving out an actual award... We're still debating it, though.

I say we do it regular and a mod or Admin always a judge, or at least a veteran of the WC and the winner gets rep and gets to wear a certain avatar until the next winner. Sure, we can't stop other people from using it but if anyone does that they have such a lack of an actual life that it really doesn't matter.

Halo just go ahead and make the contest and if you don't have a lot of time then someone else can judge, but you can make it, thats not to hard. and we need to make deadlines shorter... we wait like two weeks without anyone entering at the end...

Halo would need to designate a theme and deadline while i re-work all of the rules. This one might take a bit of time, but don't worry... We're doing a few things differently and I think we'll all enjoy them.

That's good news because last time, we had one judge and I wasn't really happy with how it ended... Thus, I think we will definitely want at least 3 judges. If HK hosts and judges, then you and I can co-assitant-judge it and we've got a full roster for PC5.

I still wanna do some kind of award along with some more ... Publication for it. You'll see when we start thinking about the next one.

yeah, as I said we should always have a mod, admin or if need be someone a mod or admin trusted or such.

possibly, well... (a thought I had) maybe an announcement is a bit much. the award, rep as always and as I've said before I have an avatar that would work, and then you could tell about it in your custom title, if you don't have one then people will still understand it.. or if anyone has a better one, we could see if that one works too.

    The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats

    Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality

    I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
