Pointer Issues in War Craft III

Instead of seeing a pointer or arrow, I am seeing crosshairs in replacement of that. What do you suggest I do to fix this problem within War Craft III. I have tried to get help online in the game, though no one can offer a suggestion, can you help?

Are you running any kind of software for your mouse (i.e. to control the extra buttons or do funny things with the scroll wheel?) Maybe try turning that off. Most new mice come with software like this.

Is it the same crosshair cursor as when you click "attack" on something?

Pointer Issues

Yes, it is the same one, but the problem is is I am using a laptop to play this game. It started that way after installation of the game. Instead of the claw you usually see, I see crosshairs, similar to the attack ones. I'm stumped on what to do with this.

Does everything still seem to work, or is it actually locking you into "attack" mode?

You need to update your laptop's display drivers. If that doesn't work, run the game in Software Transform and Lighting mode (swtnl). Steps for doing that can be found here:
