I was having loads of problems with Battlefield since i got it. All the stuff that people recommended (like the renderer allow refresh rates thing) didn't work for me. I eventually found a post that said to turn off 'performance mode' in BIOS. I did this and it worked like a dream. No crashes since. Now you might not even have this option turned on, so if this doesn't work for you, then could someone with some technical know-how post a reply saying exactly what turning it off does, so we can get a clearer view of the problem. I think it might be memory.
If you don't know what BIOS is, you can access it by pressing delete when your computer is booting up; just look out for it.
After getting so much advice from internet forums, I'm hoping I can give something back.
If none of the above works for you, then check out www.abxzone.com or http://forums.free2code.net/view.php?tid=8863&from=0 The second one has 9 pages of tips.
Lastly, persevere!
