When I try to connect to bnet, it asks me to download the 1.10 patch, which i do, then after it asks me to "restart the application", a starcraft error comes up saying "Invalid Network Provider" There was no definite follow-up to this problem anywhere that I could find...
My computer is on a LAN system behind a firewall, but everything worked fine on my last computer (which was on the same network with all patches installed but the computer finally died after about 7 years of use), so I'm confused as to what the problem is.
The closest thing I could find to a solution was off the bnet tech support, which told me: Make sure the following ports are opened.
Diablo, Warcraft II : Battle.net Edition and Starcraft (Brood War)
Port 6112-6119 TCP and UDP in/out
But I'm not sure how I go about doing this... Could someone please help me out? Thanks.
