Problem with a Bridge

Ive donwloaded this bridge that looks like a modern bridge, like in citys(exampel: GoldenGateBridge...) i added it and changed a normal bridge[LongNaturalBridge[Vertical] into my bridge. now the problem is ive place the bridg and its like 5 Blocks higher and so i made a like stair that gos 5 store highers and then made it at height of bridge, but they cant walk on it plz help me.
 
I don't know a ton about editing stuff like this, but I think that if you put shallow water under the bridge it should work.
 
Can't you use cntrl page down and page up to move the bridge up and down?

Well if you can't do that, try using cliff ramps, not your objects. You have to do "is walkable" to make an object possible to be walked on, but it is a lot more efficient to just make a terrain ramp up to the bridge if you can't get it to work.

By default, the bridge's pathing block system and general documentation has it floating in midair. So, put it over water, cliff, whatever you want and lower it or raise it to desired elevation :)
 
Ah... I gotta remeber that... I just recommended the shallow water, cause in DoBRP when you spawn a bridge, its gotta be over shallow water or it won't work :(
 
ROFL! Is that so? Well splendid job of a mapmaker to make the bridge require placement over water :D
 
Meh, you gotta consider the fact that TBM is working with Draikes horrible orginazation of his released triggers. BTW, does anyone have the DoBRP Unprotected version Draike released months ago? It'd be a real help to my map...
 
i dont realy understand

i tryed the pathing changes like you said but it still doesnt work, can you plz take a look at it. do you have msn or something ? because i dont no how to send a file in forum :eek:
 
All I said was to lower the bridge. It just so happens that you cannot run under a bridge but you can run on top of it--that if you lower the bridge to the unit's feet, he can step on the road and walk on. Get the picture?

Yea i know xD but i what must i change the art-Fly-over height, Cliff height ? because i changed the cliff heigt of it to 3 is same as my stairs that i made but it still doesnt walk over it.
 
Nonononono. In the TERRAIN editor, lower the ground that the bridge is on.

No! You don't even lower the terrain! :D

RAISE IT! Go to the advanced options and uncheck "Fixed Object Heights" or something like that. Then, select the bridge, hold down the cntrl key, and press page up or page down on your keyboard. Hold down either to raise or lower (respectively) the bridge in its spot. It's how I make waterfalls and it's how I fix bridges...because they usually don't work or look good in their preplacement.

...No stairs needed, fyi.

now my whole terrain is ruined :confused: i go to advanced and then reset heigh field or something and changed it but now my whole terrain is all crazy :/
 
I didn't tell you to edit the terrain field! I think someone else here has tipped you off wrong! Try undoing :(

Follow MY directions and just use cntrl and page up/down dang it! It WORKS.
 
its back good again

i found a way to undo everthing but now it still doens't work :( i dont now whats wrong i changed the : Adjust cliff levels to 4 wich is same as my stairs and belive me i need stairs do you want to see my map so you know how its like Rinpun ?

pff the ctrl Page up and down i have tryed but it still doesnt work it looks like you just cant ride on it i delete map if no one nows how you must do it because i dont now it by far... :eek:

If you lower it on top of the cliff edges, it'll work. If you don't understand on how to line up a bridge, well, it sucks to be you. :D

You don't need stairs... just select the bridge... press pg down, and then align it with the terrain. There you go :D

    It's actually remarkably easy to make mayonnaise though. Fun fact, it USED to kind of be a French mother sauce. I believe that Careme considered it one, it may have been aioli but that has also built a different meaning than it used to. An aioli is just mayonnaise I mixed with other shit typically, I didn't start it don't come at me

    Depending on how you pour the oil the consistency can vary wildly, but that's true for most emulsions. I can only make about two quarts at a time with my robo coup, and if I have to make several in series because I forgot to order it becomes really obvious even when I do it. We have to wait and mix them all together to make sure we have the same thing.

I serve 400-500 guests on average per day right now, if I had 100 then we could do things way better

She can do it no problem, I've worked with her there.

Some of them use thermometers a lot and they don't always use them right, but they do know how to do it. Failure, especially in this field, is the only way to get better. They'll get it

    They won't get feel down while they do the thermometer, but we didn't have an instant read probe when I was learning. Like they did but god knows how off it is, you HAD to do it by feel. Even if the chef was fine with me bringing my own, it takes too long. Poke and know
