Programming!!!11~!`!!one!1 (au3)

OK so I was curious to learn an actually programming language, rather than just some simple lines of JASS. I asked 56k what he used, and what was the easiest... he suggest AutoIt3 (au3).

It has alot of examples and a huge help file.. but its still kind of a pain in the ass to find out exactly how they work. Example, for the GUICtrlCreateEdit function it has a list of options, I figured it out from trial and error (Many many crashes).

Ok anyways, all I want to know is if anyone else uses au3, or know anything about it... If anyone has some free time can they help me learn some functions? I'd prefer through msn/aim/yahoo but pm or just forums will work. The main reason is because I'm lazy and I have trouble finding how to do things (Or if I can do them)

One of my problems is I was wondering if you could make a msgbox (sort of an error box) have buttons on it. I know that they can, I'm not sure if its just a window, or if its a different type, and if not then how to add them.

I'm not trying to make anything complicated, I just want to learn.. Everyone says coding is easier after you have learned some type.

I used to know autoit as I used it to cheat(bot) on ffxi but thats so long ago i forgot it =(

i use ai for simple things , its realy usefull the SendKey and HotKeySet
Im_On_56k is mean with au3 !!! dont let him use it :p if u know what i mean.
but its a realy good script . u can learn easly.

Yeah he made a "really cool program" that put like 300 folders on your desktop...

ai is also used to make bot for games , like when u go afk u run it and it plays for you...^^

Yeah, 56k was trying to make a test-bot for Conan to test AWA against at some point. Don't remember if he ever finished it.

    Actually I was just playing with having some kind of mention of the food forum and recipes on the main page to test and see if it would engage some of those people to post something. It is just weird to get so much traffic and no engagement

    The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats

    Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that

    Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality

    Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing

    I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.

    It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
