i am connecting to the internet through lan with proxy server. i can surf on the internet but i cannot connect to BNET to play Diablo2 LoD. do i have to ask the administrator to enable some ports needed to play on BNET or it depends on me and my pc whether i can enable the ports?

need an answer pls.. baal waits for me

Go here and look at the ports you need to worry about for any Blizzard game.

Depends-- if its an HTTP proxy it will probably only allow web traffic and maybe FTP and a few mediaplayer type things. In that case, they aren't going to do anything to help you

In a lot of office environments, you don't really have true "internet" access, but just a connection to a proxy that feeds you web pages.
