ah good test this vers not saw bug with claws ...
but can do throw effect like in tossrok ? with many jumps and dmdg ..
(good fix of mines dmdg)
Little mestake in txt ..
If write bm on chat can see:
Boost Mode : have 250 gold ... and 10 skill points - but have 15 :shades:
thx for observers but can do like in another map - can choose at begining, its be very good
(Sor for mistakes)

And another idiea can add in map some audio : voice of Double kill Domination Rampage and etc ?(like in dota:cool:)

I know I ask a lot but ... in the 24 version of the hook as it is better drawn,
you have it too harsh and very distracting ... if not hard to add a model version of the hook tossrok's

Throw effect? Jumps? What do you mean?

Unfortunately, all 12 player slots for Pudge Wars are taken up. I cannot do this without getting rid of a slot or two.

It's okay, I don't mind that you ask a lot. What do you mean in the 24 version of the hook? You mean in 1.24 how the hook is not stretched or pulled apart like currently? I did those for performance issues, but I can try make it seem more fluid though. If not, what do you mean?

btw the last one is good (no bugs)... do you need any replay with error happens ?

I would like to think there are, but I actually doubt it, I myself find trying to get a 3v3 game going is hard :(

I have very huge lag when i play 4v4... with 6v6 is just unplayable...
I know that is becouse of my wooden pc but is it possible to optimize the map ?
I am planning on making the next update more efficient. The Meat Hook at the moment is terrible (I seem to have made it worse after I took over). I kind of know the reason why though, but it's going to take some time through my busy schedule.

I may consider it. Considering 6v6 games are no longer easy to find, if ever.

What would you suggest I do with the leavers? Should I just sell their items and distribute the gold to their team?

Yes. I kind of found it unfair that you are able to see the enemy position (judging by the timer) while they are fogged. Is this a problem?

Yeah, Tossrock's Meat Hook is more fluid (and more efficient). I had to space the Meat Hook out to improve the performance, otherwise it would lag terribly (and it still does! :().

invisible timer for enemies, 100 % chance of toss, drop items after leave,chance to avoid the attack with new item ....

100% chance of toss? I thought it would be nice to not have accidental Tosses that do nothing. As for dropping items after leaving, what would you suggest instead of the items being dropped? :confused: You think this version has stripped away some of it's competitiveness? Hmm.. maybe.. I did think Lance was kind of icky anyways, but it was Tossrock's idea, not mine.

Sorry if I kind of basically killed Pudge Wars or brought on it's "destruction", but I shall strive to make it suit you peoples needs :p On a brighter note, I've gotten Tossrock to reopen the old forums: http://pudgewars.informe.com/forum/

Although registering on it seems to be broken, and its mainly oudated stuff, and I don't know why I asked him to reopen it instead of making my own forum for it o.o

but those who play long, prefer 24
you so much to add, change, you can go on and on, but if not hard just make 1.24 final version (which would have removed all kinds of bugs:
with dmdg of barrels, with rune suicide, with a dead pudge, pudge with dmdg sometimes with lightning)
without a new hook and toss, without a new artifact, and so on - think about it

Please be patient. The stock code from Tossrock is completely different. We got hard time to port it to our coding style.
We will fix it as time passes. What you can help is, discover the bug and tell us. That will be helpful. :thup:

Actually, indexing the hook chain was what was causing loss of performance. Adding an exception to the hook chain unit increased performance. I think this increase of performance was more than enough. I'll upload the next one within a few weeks (or months, lol) and see how it goes.

I dunno. I might remove Phantom's Lance actually. I disabled the safety-check for Toss when you cast it, and I've made the hook more fluid like Tossrock's version. I will release it soon and you can comment then what needs changing.

I wonder if v1.24 was terrible on 5v5 or 6v6? I seem to be getting terrible lag when 11 players launch their Meat Hooks my current edition (and this is after optimizing). 500 chains on screen isn't very healthy is it? Although I have a lot more stuff running then in Tossrock's version, game timer, AIs, powerup movement, etc., so this could be a reason why. In addition, the AIs tend to rapid fire their Meat Hook, which makes more moving chains. Oh well!

On a brighter side, there are two things:

1. I'll probably release something this upcoming week (no guarantees).
2. Some of the stuff I've done during my reign have been undone. Some of the things include:
  • Flame powerup and Thunder powerup no longer end when Pudge dies, it now stays the entire duration. Blade Barrier is still removed upon death though.
  • Toss false-cast safety-check removed.
  • Meat Hook is more 'fluid' looking. Less spacing between each chain of the hook.
  • That bug with Mini-Pudges and Meat Hooking is fixed (HOPEFULLY). I pray to god there won't be any more random Meat Hooks going to the bottom left corner anymore.
Although some of you may not think some of these things are good.
