Question about lightning attack!

How would I make it so acolytes attack with a lightning attack that is a constant beam of lightning? (Preferably red lightning if possible) Also if I did this would the sound be messed up because it is constantly attacking or would it sound fine?

You might be able to use the lightning from razor in dota but i dont know where to find it

I'm not sure, you could try to set the cooldown of the attack to 0.01

And the red lightning is the Finger of Death model.

use pheniz fire i guess, well it wont look like lightning, more like a laser... and for a constant beam set cooldown to 0.01 and modify the damage.

You could make a ablility based off forked lightning and change it's model file thing and set the effect to like 99999999999999999999 (only can do in WEU) and then make the cooldown time 0

just make acolyte into a missle attacker...with ranged..and make it learn (lightning attack) than your attack will be lightning...very easy to do

How do I make my acolyte learn lightning attack?

Bring up the Abil. editor. Make a custom ability based of the Lightning attack (Night Elves).

Change Art - Lightning Effect: to Finger of Death

Add your new ability to the acolytes in the Unit editor.

Set their Combat - Cooldown: to something low, like .7 seconds (dunno).

There you have your red lightning.

EDIT: Also change the range, attack type, and damage type.

I found a problem with his ablility finger of death, forked lightning ect. are hero ablilitys so you would make a unit ablility and edit that or make a hero change the model file, add in the ablilities that an acolyte knows and turn off exp gain for it

hope this and my other post will help everyone who has this problem
