Quick question about order ability and wait.

I found a tutorial map somewhere a long time ago on 3rd person view. In the end there is this boss unit at this trigger is linked to it.

• Impale
  • Events
  • Unit - Draconic Overlord 0077 <gen> Is attacked
  • Conditions
  • Actions
  • Unit - Order Draconic Overlord 0077 <gen> to Undead Crypt Lord - Impale (Attacking unit)
  • Trigger - Turn off (This trigger)
  • Wait 1.00 seconds
  • Trigger - Turn on (This trigger)

My question is:
Why is there a wait and why does the trigger need to be turned off in the first place?

So that Draconic Overlord 0077 isn't ordered to Impale every 0.05 seconds.

The wait only lengthens that by 1 second so the Draconic Overlord impales every 1.5 sec instead of 0.05 sec (by the way where did you get that number from?).

Because if the Overlord kills the attacking unit, then no unit attacks it anymore thus the trigger will not keep on getting triggered.

If the Overlord is getting attacked by several enemies, the trigger will be run faster than the cast time on Impale. Several units attacking together will effectively be able to stunlock the Overlord, as every time he gets attacked, he will cancel his current cast and attempt to recast Impale.

0.05 was off the top of my head, and probably an exaggeration.

Edit: Bonus question.
When the unit is attacked and Impale is on cooldown will it then not try to use it, realize that its on cooldown and get caught in a loop anyway?

Errr. Obviously it won't cast the spell while it's on cooldown.
Then again, I guess this isn't too hard to test, is it?

Nope it isn't. Was kind of a rhetorical question I guess since I can see it works in the map I was fishing for an in depth answer, but its not really needed as long as it works.
