Raising Non-Flying units

I want to make an ability called Force Choke where a unit is lifted off the ground and damage is done.

I've got the damage part, but I need the lifting off the ground for units that are ground units, since the only units that can have a raised flying height are flying units, I'm very confused.

I would try examining Impale, and possibly base your ability off of that. There might be a WEU function for that, like changing movement type from walking to hovering or whatever.

You could try editing the buff I don't think that will work, though.

There might be a spell at WC3sear.ch ...

without impale effect or cyclone effect they will stand at their place there is no way to make groud units fly or change height.

Also there is no way to modify impale effect or cyclone effect also they only will work in cyclone or impale spell.

Forex if you use impale effect or cyclone effeect on starfall you will see that they will not change heights... this effects makes units change height and make them invulnarble in spesific buffs on different buffs they only show theirselves and do nothing...

i think that in the trigger editor there is a function to raise the elevation of a uint so you can maybe make something like this:

E: unit starts channeling an ability
C: ability = to X
A: raise unit elevation by X (or something like that)
do X damage to attaked unit
wait X seconds
lower attacked unit elevation by X

is there a way using triggers mayb ?

eg

unit uses spell

make unit type Fly or summat

no you cannot but you can make something tricky
you can give units methamorphose ability and morph them exacly the same unit but with flying one.. but you must create a flying unit of all types of units and create a methamorphose spell for each type...

Or you can make all units flying with 0 height and modify targets and add air to them and make everywhere block with air pathing blockers ect..
