Hi.

I got these RAM memory:
Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 6GB CL9

In EVEREST it says:
2 GB DDR3-1333 DDR3 SDRAM (9-9-9-24 @ 666 MHz) (8-8-8-22 @ 592 MHz) (6-6-6-16 @ 444 MHz)

-What does these MHz speeds mean?

Are there any good software to test your hardware if they work properly?

Also, CL or CAS Latency is how many clock cycles it takes for CAS assertion to start of initial transfer.

As you can notice the difference between DDR2 and DDR3 atm is very slim. The speed of DDR3 is increased, but so has the CL. After manufacturing practices get better (for DDR3), you'll notice the CL will go down. When you notice this, then it is time to buy DDR3. (this is the main difference between expensive RAM and non-expensive RAM)

So in conclusion.

Higher CL = BAD
Higher Speed (Mhz) = GOOD
Higher Capacity (GB) = GOOD

You're not going to notice the difference in CL speeds that much (unless say you're jumping from CL = 15 to CL = 4.

Thanks for your reply. =)
How can I find out how much CL my memory has?
