i recently purchased Sims 2. IT has slowed my computer down terribly. Does anyone know why? i just bought this computer a few months ago and should have plenty of memory to support this game. i would certainly appreciate any suggestions from anyone. I have a hp mx704 computer by the way. thanks.
 
mx 704 sounds like the monitor but that couldbe me ..

disable anti virus .. norton comes standard with it .
make sure u have the latest videocard driver ..

now with hp that is prolly an nvidia card http://www.nvidia.com
download the geforce drivers make sure anti virus is disabled during this proces.

however make sure you have an nvidia graphics card coz it couldbe an ati card http://www.ati.com you wouldbe looking for the radeon driver ..

the problem could also be related to service pack 2 ..
 
im sorry that was my monitor......i have the service pack 2 already installed on my computer. My computer is the 3000+ Hp. and when i go to those drivers which do i select i saw several for Gforce.....and with rideon driver do i use? Thanks so much for your help.
 
It will be one or the other.

GeForce, or Radeon. Two brands.

You can right click on your desktop, and click properties.

Click the settings tab all the way to the right.

Then click advanced on the lower right.

There should be a tab inside those options, that will tell you what brand it is.

I think he was implying, that SP2 could be the cause of the problem... but I am not sure.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
