I was entertaining the idea of requesting two new forums.

Hosted Maps and Projects
A place to post your map, screen shots, version releases, testing feeback, and anything else involving map development. This would act as somewhat of a 'hosted maps thread' and feeback forum. We have several users who have posts about testing maps and other topics.

Models, Skins and Icons
For all modelling, skinning and Icons. Art pictures, previews, feeback pictures, and help with those areas. Questions pertaining to these topics would be posted there.

HOWEVER. I do not want to open two dead forums. I need to know if there is a need for them, and if anyone else would be interesed in having them.
 
I, for my part, am all for both of those, as I foresee that I'll be doing quite a bit of both skinning and developing in the not-too-distant future. But I'd still have to come back here for trigger help.
 
i say YES! I make some maps and i think no one dl's them in hosted map section so a map forum would be good and skinning one too cause i got some skins on developing
 
Hosted maps

Not enough traffic to warrant a new forum, IMNSHO.
Besides, we already have a "maps" forum, this one.
Seems to work out quite nicely ;)

This one could be interesting.

Although, if a have a look at that Mecha you posted...
Well, it will be a couple years, knowing me, until I'm nearing that :)

Still, and anyway, modelling is, after all, a, sort of, entirely different theme than "simple" map making...

Both sound very good. We might not have alot of people here, but I don't think that matters. The maps forum sounds very good for putting screenshots and asking for feedback about your maps. I don't think it should be just for hosting maps but also for feedback on your work and stuff like that. The models, skins, and icons forum sounds good but we only have 2 modellers here, right? Rinpuna nd you Ryoko seem to be the only ones so maybe we should make that a sub forum? THat's just my opinion.

[EDIT] Ahhh, ok I read your post again, and if it's an art forum then that would be good. Just for models, skins, and icons though, that would not be a good idea. I do however, like the diea for an art forum for not just icons and such, but also concept art and the like.
 
Definitely concept art. I don't do much in that field, but I do enjoy visual ideas for stuff to model :)
 
I think one forum that covers anything to do with art and graphics (concept art, modelling, skins, icons etc) isn't a bad idea at all.

A hosted maps forum should probably be put on hold for now, since there will be a lot of overlap between that forum and this forum, and people may get confused about what forum to post in.

Well, when I said Models, Skins and Icons, I meant all of those. Not just a model forum for the two people here doing it.

Post icons. Post screen shots. Post for feeback. Post for skinning & Icon help. Post screen shots, artwork, etc.

I agree with Raz-U. I never even look at the hosted map thread. Because its stickied, I never notice a new post.

PLUS, some examples of how many 'Ryoko TD' feedback and bug threads I have, Minds L.I.L. threads, feedback, and bugs, etc.

HOWEVER, I fear if something was posted, because its in another forum, it would never be seen.

I post things here as it is, and only 3-4 people out of 20 will comment. Pretty dissapointing I'd say. Turn to wc3campaigns for feedback I guess.

    Today I had to scramble, I didn't work most of dinner service and no one told me shit. They had a rough few hours lol

    I have two salmon, Sockeye and Atlantic. Atlantic is used for the kids salmon and the salmon and beet salad, and can also be added onto any dish or just as a side. Atlantic salmon will almost exclusively ever be FARMED, as it is endangered in the wild, and we ALWAYS cut them to 4 ounces.

    SOCKEYE salmon, very different and this IS wild caught. We have an ENTREE version, and an add on version. The entree is 7 ounces, the add on is 4. Why? Because that is how someone that wasn't me set up the computer.

    Let alone trying to figure it out from a wildly stressed out me that is also on a phone call trying to get something to show up from Seattle tomorrow while trying to explain this salmon situation, that also is barely solved in maybe a few hours and and but I am bulking it with a few steelhead filets I have and that is a WHOLE fucking different thing to the 19 year old server that got put on day shift C crew that doesn't know who I am.

    All in all though I think this summer is going really well. Some complicated things, but at the end of the day it isn't THAT big of a deal. Not all of our servers have quite realized they are technically sales

    Like yeah it is a substitute, but FOMO. Chef isn't getting this again this year, he has to figure it out, so it's slightly off on the menu, but that is more or less the LOWEST quality and price. Right now, steelhead is a real stealhear, right?
