Read: Updated forum rules

In light of the growing size of our members, I have revied and updated the forum rules.

(These changes were also influenced by the poor ethnics of other forums, like dota allstars and wc3sear.ch)

yes its great to have this many people. i rember when i first registred and there were only really 5 people that accuctly came to this forum. 2 of them were mods 1 was me and another was mind. then there was some other guy but i don't rember his name. (hes gone now)

O thank god you scared me for a second. I have noticed that more people are coming to this forum then leaving, I thought it would be the other way around since WoW came out. Whew, I'm so releived I thought it was going to be like www.wc3sear.ch where we can't revive old threads and if we post to much then we are going to get banned. -.-

Use manners when posting towards other members. Do not flame or personally attack other members. This is including but not limited to 'noob' and its variants.

Uhh, this seems just like the one above that? The one "Do not badmouth or abuse anyone: ESPECIALLY THE MODERATORS". Did you put anything else I didn't notice?

those r old and also btw i just looked at those today cause i felt like it. and the one that conan quoted seems like wat u guys r doin to me. and lol badmouth we all cuss theres notin wrong with that. we should all be banned even the mods sometimes.

What? Darg and Roko would ban us in a second if we were cussing up a storm. I might say things like damn and hell, but I don't say like the F word and stuff like that. I did once but they just warned me, I was pretty mad that day(sorry again). Those are old, but they ae stickies for a reason, they are still heavily enforced.

yes i think the s word here and there is ok. but if ur sayin it in ever sentence then it is bad. cause i cuss A LOT and havin to stop and think there of wat to say just is not me.

That is entirely untrue. I never saw anyone offend or harass you. There is a difference between criticism and offensive language.

This statement, too, is false; It's been many months since I last saw someone insult someone else in this forum.

Do not post chit chat, petty comments and questions in the free trigger code thread, the forum rules, or the FAQ. Please help keep those threads clean and helpfull.

I'm very upset the free trigger code thread had 20 posts about a bunch of nothing. How are people supposed to find what they need?

Its kind of like skateboarders, they feel the need to 'tag' everything they see that doesn't have gaffiti on it yet.

Apparently, that wasn't descriptive enough. Both rules together should cover all situations.

The dota forum pisses me off. Every post contributed gets flamed and 'noob' seems to be in every post. They even make joke posts, polls, entire threads, and contests about 'noobs'. They are cocky and high-almighty kids, which will NOT happen here.

These rules are to protect you equally as everyone else.

I've read the forum rules when i first joined, and when i first made a thread.. And now that i think about it, this is the first forum i joined, and no one has called me a noob.. hahaha.. i reckon this is a pretty cool community we have here..

the good thing about this particular forum is that, because there aren't a lot of members, we have more time to know you guys personally. So if you are having an occasional bad day and you write something nasty here, then if we know you are normally nice we won't ban you or anything like that, we might just edit your post or something.

we also have the time to teach you all why the rules are there, rather than just simply enforce them without explanation. I wouldn't be surprised if on other forums people break the rules deliberately because they don't understand why they exist and they just want to draw attention to themselves. So if we teach more than simply enforce, I believe we will get much fewer rule breakers here than on other forums.
