Reboot

I can play the single player BF1942 with no problems, but when I try to connect in multiplayer through either Gamespy or inside BF1942 itself, it gets to the connection screen and then my computer reboots. The bar only just starts to move and then it stops for a couple of seconds, goes black, and reboots. Any ideas?

I am running Win 2000 Pro, and have a GeForce 2 Ti, a 1.4 G Athalon, and 512 RAM. I am behind a hardware firewall (Linksys router).
 
Nevermind guys! It seems I just had a more severe version of the desktop crash. I fixed it by opening the file \Battlefield 1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings\VideoDefault.con and changing renderer.allowAllRefreshRates from 0 to 1. Thanks anyway!

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Probably inflates their numbers so they look better to advertisers.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

    The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.

    That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.

    Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
