Reducing Load Screen Sizes..

I recently made a Loading Screen for a map I was doing. When I just inserted the map (using the meathod on this site), it came out wierd and blured. So, I used a program. The problem is that the program makes it into 4 different images and each is about 1,000kb in size (average size). This, of course, made my map file size too big. Is there any way to reduce this size and still keep a quality loading screen?

use the way said here, just dont do some of the size saving options, paticularly the making it a square, and turning up the quality a little. of course as long as any text on it is readable, it is fine. remember that this is a small portion of the map and shouldnt take up much space likewise.
