Replace Unit problem

I'm wanting to replace a Human melee unit with a unit from the Human campaign list. Is this possible, and if so, how is it done, because when I click on Advanced/Replace Unit, then select the old and new units, then hit OK - nothing happens. :banghead:

Why?

Why do you need to replace a unit? Why not just change the file and picture and stuff like that to the unit you want.

What do you mean "How is that done"!?
Go object editor and change the modle file, name, icon, abilitys, sound, movment, any thing!
There is no reson why you should want to replace a unit, you can do any thing you want. But then of course i might have just not under st0od your question.
