Rescuing unit?

How to refer to a unit that rescues another one?

How can I refer to a unit that has rescued another unit? For example I want to give an order to the unit that made the rescue..

i think so

just like my game your able to buy a peon doesnt attack build or do anything but wile hes alive he is able to resurect your hero 4 free go to the object editor go to abilitys and click on revive hero

no, rescues as in comes within a certain range of a rescuable unit, making it yours... Im not sure if you can do this (i havn't reall had a look) but you could do it with a trigger like:
Events
Unit - A unit comes within 600 of (rescued unit)
Conditions
Actions
Unit - Order (triggering unit) to attack move to (Center of Playable Map Area)

Make sure you do Trigger - Turn Off (This Trigger) afterwards to prevent it occurring again after it's been rescued.

Well I can't chose the rescued unit since it doesn't exist at the beginning of the game. I destroy a cage and a rescueable unit appears from it. So how do I make the Event written above?

why not, when the destructible (crate) dies say
recue unit

    Events
        Destructible - (your destuctible variable/preplaced) dies
    Conditions
    Actions
        Unit - Create 1 Footman for Neutral Passive at (Position of (Dying destructible)) facing Default building facing degrees
        Unit - Change ownership of (Last created unit) to Player 1 (Red) and Change color
        Unit - Order (Killing unit) to Attack-Move To (your region/point)

or if you want to make it easier

    Events
        Destructible - (your destuctible variable/preplaced) dies
    Conditions
    Actions
        Unit - Create 1 Footman for Player 1 (Red) at (Position of (Dying destructible)) facing Default building facing degrees
        Unit - Order (Killing unit) to Attack-Move To (your region/point)

AFAIK, the event "destructible dies" doesn't register a "killing unit".

As a side-note, try figuring different ways to do things. If Warcraft doesn't have an option to select the resucing unit, then find another way around it. Alot of people ask for lists of trigger functions, but the problem lies in the logic behind the scripts, not the script itself.
