Retail Version Issues

Hi all. I am running a decent PC with geforce 4 mx card and was wondering why so many problems with different maps with a RETAIL version of a game??

Game locks up randomly and all kinds of problems

At one point I even had the wrong font coming up in the msg text in a game and I couldnt read it. Bizzarre

Anyway am I the only one with issues?

no im having the same problems almost, mine locks up variously and get a blackscreen, but mine will go a step further and restart, im starting not to like this game
 
my pc sucks and it runs fine. and i have the retail version, win 98 geforce 4 mx 420 (hehe got this baby not long ago)


anyways.. it could be your computer or something, some sort of settings, not the game.
 
nah its the game, after i installed the game, and played it the first time it stalled, i reset the computer and it said

cmos checksum error bad

its never done that till bf1942

besides the fact your video card is probly better than both of ours
 
check this
p4 2 ghz
256 mb ram ddr
gf2 mx 400 64 megs
even in a 640*480 res SP it was choppy as a mofo
unplayble on some maps soon you hit the jeep
i got retail today .. installed the patch
and beside my vidcard being an ati 8500 my system is 1000 mhz slower and i run it at 1024*768 16 bit colors and no problem compadres ..
i do notice the game is a big ass memory hog .. the more ram you put in it the more ram it will utilize the better it works
 
bios checksum error -thats either a bad bios flash , bad game install, or bad ram.
 
I would also go to an older version nvidia drivers--there seems to be problems with the newer drivers.--I went back to the 28.32 drivers and it stop alot of problems with some of the newer games.
 
well thats the thing, its only bf1942 that does it. If you ask me i think they rushed this game to get it on the shelves, much like neverwinter nights, 5 years in the making and theres still a lot of glitches, but thats my opinion

    Today I had to scramble, I didn't work most of dinner service and no one told me shit. They had a rough few hours lol

    I have two salmon, Sockeye and Atlantic. Atlantic is used for the kids salmon and the salmon and beet salad, and can also be added onto any dish or just as a side. Atlantic salmon will almost exclusively ever be FARMED, as it is endangered in the wild, and we ALWAYS cut them to 4 ounces.

    SOCKEYE salmon, very different and this IS wild caught. We have an ENTREE version, and an add on version. The entree is 7 ounces, the add on is 4. Why? Because that is how someone that wasn't me set up the computer.

    Let alone trying to figure it out from a wildly stressed out me that is also on a phone call trying to get something to show up from Seattle tomorrow while trying to explain this salmon situation, that also is barely solved in maybe a few hours and and but I am bulking it with a few steelhead filets I have and that is a WHOLE fucking different thing to the 19 year old server that got put on day shift C crew that doesn't know who I am.

    All in all though I think this summer is going really well. Some complicated things, but at the end of the day it isn't THAT big of a deal. Not all of our servers have quite realized they are technically sales

    Like yeah it is a substitute, but FOMO. Chef isn't getting this again this year, he has to figure it out, so it's slightly off on the menu, but that is more or less the LOWEST quality and price. Right now, steelhead is a real stealhear, right?

And then the girls can bat their eyes and do pretty girl server shit
