Ok since i suck at math maybe someone can answer this or give me a clue

there are 2 barrels(blue and green) they together cost 1.10 and the blue costs 1.00 more than the green barrel...any help??? :banghead:

That answer is wrong. The right answer is Blue: 1.05, Green: .05

Neither did I. You aren't reading the question correctly.

In case your grip on the English language is tenuous, that means that the difference in the costs is 1.00. The difference between 1.00 and 0.10 is 0.90. Your answer is wrong.

Go reread the question. Hint: it says that the difference in the costs of the barrels is 1.00, not the difference between the total cost and the cost of the green one.
