I've been trying to play with my roomate... in arranged team games... we can't join each others games....

Does this have anything 2 do with the fact we both go out through the same router???

anyway its a SMC

IF anyone can please help me out with this i would APPERCIATE it greatly...

If War3 is anything like all the older Blizzard games it doesn't like NAT and that might be your problem. Unfortunately I don't think there is a solution for that either =/

If both puters have their own public IP I can't see why it wouldn't work even if you use the same router.

On the Blizzard Open Tech Support forum, there was a suggestion to get updated firmware for your router, and apparantly they're looking into router problems.

Check here for a post by Michael N, one of the Blizzard techs, with a link to further solutions.

In the game's options menu you can configure it to use a different port-- if you set both computers to use different ports and configure the router (you'll have to read the router manual for info on how) to forward traffic on each port to the machine it belongs to, it should work....

or maybe even just set the games to use each different ports and the router might figure it out (never really tried this)
