I would like to give props to a program I found, Registry Mechanic.

This is the only registry tool I have used that didn't corrupt anything or delete my user settings.

As usualy, I will download and test 4 or 5 programs until I get one I like.

A mention for a warcraft map protection program, WC3 Optomizer by Vexorian.

This handy program has many options for not only optomizing your map, but protecting it as well. It also merges your init variables, arrays, and conditions to help your map run more efficently.

It can obsucate your variables and trigger code, making it very difficult for someone to copy. With the unit options checked, your map will not open in the editor anymore either.

It also supports multiple buffer sizes - recommended is 65536.0

Never save over your original; always test the product afterwards.

I use a text editing program called Crimson Editor.

A basic editor, it breaks programming languages down into colors. Variables, statements and native functions appear in different colors, and it keeps track of brackets and parenthasis for you.

It supports about 15 launguages. I use it for HTML, Perl, c++, and now PHP.

Caster System 10.6 by Vexorian.

This is a group of scripts and variables, used to make spell making much easier. Even if your not knowledged with JASS, this system will make spell crafting waaay easier, and it's easy to implement as well!

GAP - Game Audio Player

This program can scan a CD, directory or game data file for sounds. It supports many data base files that games use. For example, I extracted sounds from Command and Conquer.

1. Searching various games resource files for various audio files (music/sfx/speech)
2. Extracting found files "as is" and converting them to WAV
3. Playing back found/added files with seeking and other features
4. Extracting any files from various resource archives
