I've been reviewing the Cinematic tutorial, along with the camera tutorial to try and make a little cut-scene. I'm still having problems and so instead of begging for the code I was wondering if there was a sample map, or an unprotected map that I could use as reference?

uhmmm...unless ur blind...well in the tutorial, SD_Ryoko put images to see his actual triggers....but if u look soe days back you should probably see uhmm some1's cinemtic post...I don't remember author but there is 1...and it has some really good examples...pan, and other stuff :D..not sure if its still there though...search the forum a bit...:D

Yeah I seen the pictures, but the camera action wasen't working out for me, and I waesn't sure if the beginning actions and the ending actions (for cinematic on/off) was in the same trigger, or was it linked somehow? *shrug* Thanks for the quick response Krakka. I have been searching through here and I've noticed you ARE quite the helper.

Oh yeah, I just registered too, just wanted to see what would happen and all that jazz. Sry if this violates 'bump' rules.

Its been awhile

its been awhile since I've come on here. I took a vacation and yadda yadda. Anyways, I'm still trying to do the cinematic cut-scene. In the World Tutorial my "camera path" works like I want it to, I have the cinematic begin trigger set as is demonstrated in the user submitted tutorial, but I can't quite get it to do it in-game. Should the Cinematic be all one trigger, or should it be divvied up?

I have it as:

Trigger1: Start Movie (has the cinematic mode on for all players yadda yadda)
Trigger2: Applies the camera path
Trigger3: Turns off Cinematic mode.

So, am I going the correct direction or no?

I really do not understand what I'm doing so wrong, so I'm going to post it and have somebody who has time to look at it and see what is so wrong about my setup. I'm so distraught.

try opening up a blizzard made campaign and see what they do

You've been using (Picked player) when you need (Player 1) or whatever your non-computer player will be (I think in your map it's Player 9)

wow, thanks. I can't believe it was that small. sheesh. Well it works now and I'm working on an introduction movie now. Thanks guys!!

Guys just a heads up I am going to be shutting the site down soon. I am just waiting on the NUON people to decide whether they want to transfer forum data and keep the discord. My email is [email protected] for anyone that wants to keep in touch and I have a facebook too. I will make an official post later. Love you guys and will miss everyone!

Oh no - please don't lose the Nuon content

  • The Helper The Helper:
Someone email AtariAge and see if they want me to transfer the forum data over to it
  • Ghan Ghan:
Could probably keep NUON stuff around here if we wanted.
  • Ghan Ghan:
Hmm what to do about the World Editor site though?
  • Stephen Stephen:
I'd rather personally just own a backup of the Nuon data than see it go to AtariAge honestly. If it gets enshittified as per usual, or if some of the "regular" Jaguar folks get there, it's not gonna be fun
  • The Helper The Helper:
There will be a github of the forum data so the NUON Forum Data I guess would be available there
  • The Helper The Helper:
World Editor is technically Ryoko stuff not mine you guys can keep that I am not in that even
  • jonas jonas:
:( end of an era :(
  • The Helper The Helper:
Dont think of it as an end jonas - think of it as a beginning, because really my friend that is what it is.
  • A Andyoyo:
Thank you for the hard work over the years. It did not go unnoticed.
