It's basically an easy way to upload and transfer files.

We want to avoid giving mod/admin to everyone.
I can set up a "project members" usergroup, but no mod/admin.

Edit: A friend of mine set us up a private forums, on his server, specifically for project members.
I'm planning in having us use that, so we can have a "private place" (sounded wrong, typing that) for members only. PM me on the other forums for the URL.

You could just get a Social Group for your Gaming Development and make it Moderated or Invited so not just anyone can join.
I lack to see the point of forum when you don't have an entire game up, etc.
Plus its on TH.net also, and your coming here daily anyway.

Edit - I know normal members can't make Social Groups, but I will make it for you Drakethos; if that is what you decide to do.

Also if I haven't introduced myself that well in this thread, I am Miz the Creativity and Entertainment Super Moderator Here.
I will be helping Drakethos (Still too use to calling you Dargoth); with ideas, and parts of the storyline, etc.

Ok, so we have 2 forums and a social group. One forum is a subdomain of another site(paid hosting) and another is a free forum. I intend posting private project related stuff there, with only the 6 of us (or however many of us there are ) having access to it. The official place for our group will be the hosted forum, and website.
- For now we can use the social group, here, to discuss current issues and for quicker communication. Once you join, Miz must approve you.

As soon as I can get online for more than five minutes at a time, I'll be doing work on both sites.
I'll be setting up boards, permissions, usergroups, etc.
Nite to the admins in both forums: Don't touch anything inside the ACP, until I have a chance to go over it. I want to be sure all of the settings be are correct, and I can't do that if people are messing around in there.

I'll asign global moderators then too. We should only need one, maybe two, on top of two admins.

Hey guys, I'm back. Been on a little vacation.
Haven't read the whole thread but: I vote for 3D and I vote for FPS.
3D because I'm working on the 3D engine;
FPS because it is the simplest. As soon as we can display 3D models, it's just the movement and shooting we need really. Ofc pathability too.

hm, welllllll. Go to our discussion group, if Miz hasn't already invited you yet. We decided on an RPG, and I want it to have an RTS interface similar to that of wc3. I figured we would probably have to use 3D as it would be more difficult not to. Just make sure you get in the social group Miz made and read all the discussions.
