errmmm ok whre do i start. yesturday internet was running VERY sluggish. so i did a spyware scan. 193 hits..no suprse as i didnt run a scan in over a month. but now however it is no longer sluggish but instead work fine. however i play battlefield 2 for about 20 minutes then get off to check somthing and well the net no loner works. i have done more scan since and 0 infected files so it weird please help!
 
in the option menu do u have it set to dsl/cable for connection speed ?
 
That might be a problem, you should switch it lower, like 56k. My brother had the same problem on CS, and we have DSL, but it lagged really badly. My brother switched it to 56k, and it worked fine.

You could try update your netcard, and your windows....

scan with those programs, etc..

update your networking card drivers

make sure your firewall is configured properly

193 spyware? anything over 3 is very serious...

you might want to consider formatting and securing the machine from the start, pre-download all the windows patches to files on a CD or something and patch before you plug the modem in.. firewall, service disabling, etc... all before the modem...
 
lmao everything over 3 isnt serious...wow

and i found that its my battlefield 2 is corrupt! and spyware is back down to 0

    I recently had an experience with a waiter that really brought down @Varine's point about them being in sales. The first waiter just asked "anything else? deserts?" and when the table shook their head said "ok" and left. Then the other waiter came in and started going off describing the deserts and you could see the heads turning, and they finally got a bunch of deserts
