I'm still taking care of my footman wars map, and I'll have to release it's 4th version this Sunday. As soon as things get done I'll make up the topic for the 7th contest, and anytime next week it'll start.

Easily overturned suggestion: Hey, can we make the deadline a little shorter? I doubt anyone took a month of continuous work to write any of the poems. Maybe two weeks? If not, that's fine too.

We don't do the month-long deadlines for people to work on the poetry, we do it so that more people have the chance to join Not everyone sees these threads right away, so it's good to give it some time to be known.

Once upon a time, I had a pretty big poetry thread. But I posted the poetry on my site, which currently is no more. Without the other site, I couldn't do much to re-work a 4-5 page thread... I closed it, merged it with other unsuccessful threads of the same nature [of mine, not of anyone else's] and I'm starting over. Again.

Without fancy thread titles or added dramatics, this is my poetry. Currently, I have 97 recorded poems. However, 1 is AWOL in the hands of a friend [only a written copy exists] and it is not available. I have the other 96, in the list below. I will be posting them randomly, whenever I feel like, unless someone requests a certain poem, based upon curiosity from the title.

The Effect of Music

Music flows through my veins
Music soothes my numerous pains
Washes my soul clean of all stains
But still my curse remains

But it’ll heal
Because I can feel
Everything that is not real
All I need is your reason to steal

I’ve come to say what I need to say
And then I swear I’ll go away
This is it, I’m gone after today
I’m going to disappear, fade and fray

I’ve got to do what I was born to do
When I’m done, I promise you’ll disappear too
Because what I’ve got to do is corrupt you
Why stop at one damned life when you can have two?

But I don’t know if I can last
Because it’s taken forever, and this pain still hasn’t passed
Feels like everything’s crashed

The rules of this life are far to strict
They choke me, making me sick

Denounce the laws you’re told

Unjust war and rigged elections
Political sins committed without a care
Illusions made to pass inspections
Their brand of justice is just unfair

Conformity is the economic goal
Faceless drones lined up side-by-side
They flaunt all the freedom they stole
Politics, man, what a ride!
