The Anime's end is not the same as the Manga's end.

It's actually very different. I suggest you read the manga if you're done watching the anime.

Not really.

The anime does end, but it doesn't also in a way. The oracle bell rings, signaling a new upcoming Shaman Fight because there was no "true" Shaman King.

They changed the ending also because it is a TV show for kids, while the manga is aimed at teens and is rather long, complicated, and stalling (But Still Great!!!). An overly complicated story won't work with kids. :p

...Reading manga takes longer than I thought. Took me 4 hours straight to get through 140 chapters...
The whole "died and become stronger" concept was getting a bit lame, but meh. Hao is fucking invincible, wtf? o.0
I skipped the first 70 chapters because the anime covered those pretty well, I think.

Yep, the anime and the manga's beginnings are quite similar.

Finally! I got to the latest chapter. Damn Im such a nerd. Thats aboubt 6 straight hours dedicated to Shaman King :p

Chapter 284 released!

Enjoy, naturally. :)

This was the first "true" final chapter of Shaman King.

There is now a 285th. But with the reprint volumes upcoming, Takei will add some more chapters to really end the manga!

I already told people that Takei is writing a new ending for Shaman King in this thread. :p

Problem is, it will only and ever be in Japanese.

Unless someone translates it by himself, but Takei doesn't intend to.

    I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
