Simple Win2k Question

This is gonna sound simple, and I remember doing it a long time ago, but I can't seem to find it again. When I want to shut down Windows 2000 it always brings me to a screen that says "It is now safe to shut down your computer."

I want to disable that screen from coming up so that it'll shut down completely without me having to finally pressing the power button when I want it off.
 
Look over in the Tweaker's Sanitorium for a post about Win2k/XP and ACPI hardware profiles.
I think that should help you.
 
Are you sure you have an ATX power supply? it should display the safe to shutdown screen then shutdown automatically right after.
If you are sure it is an ATX then you may have to change a setting in the CMOS setup.

Although if you still want to get rid of the startup and shutdown screens, (it does shave a few seconds off of the boot time) then the easiest way is to use the program System Mechanic. If you want to use a more advanced program, then try X-setup. X-setup is the best windows tweaker around, but it contains some VERY dangerous settings that can damage your system, so use with care.

    this is the fix I get from that yeah this is hard to control. disabling bots is pretty much necessary as ai and other bots would push really old threads to the top. reduce weight of view count. disable guest view tracking if you really want to push active threads to the top. a bit of tinkering for a few days with the weights and other settings should get you a decent trending widget box.

    One thing I have noticed and I dont know if it is by design but like 1 out of 3 times I come to the site the Anubis screen just hangs open, if I refresh it will go away but sometimes it hangs

    Wow - the change in the stats are major. I kind of knew it was all bots but wow, to see the effect. Why the social media sites cant do something like this I have no idea.

    Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots
