k, I will post everyone of my questions in this thread by request of demonfaze and player 11. So disrequard any thread started by me in the past.

Question 1: I read many tutorials but i can't figure out what im doing wrong. I picked out a cool image for my loading screen and then resized it to 512x512. I then saved it as TGA. I used wc image extracter and loaded the picture but it was upside down and in a purpleish color. (It accualy looked cooler this way but i would like to know what I did wrong).

Question 2: I wanted to try out skining so i read this sites tutorial on it. When i got up to the part wher i have to open it with my photo editor program it didn't have the boxes around certain part so i would know what i shouldn't edit or it would not show the players color when they played. I want to know if there is a way to figure it out or make the boxes appear. Btw I use ImageForge as my photo editor.
 
For question 1 check the programs settings for color and some image programs have the ability to flip pictures horizontily and verticaly. Try experimenting with the color settings and flipping the picture

for question two did you check that thread i gave u?
 
yeah but can you point out what you where trying to get me to look at. I think I saw what you where talking about but im not sure. And if i did I don't understand it.
 
I guess it would be ok if i had to save every pic upside down but the color changes when i use the warcraft image extractor. I think i need a better photo editor anyway so if it has to do with that it will change.

Anyone know any good photo editor programs that are free?

Yeah i heard about that too, would it be good for making skins? And on the tutorial site it has a link where i can dl it.
 
UGGGGG, ok i got the free 30 day trial and im up to the part where i have to use the lasso tool and i don't get how to use it. Can somone explain?
 
lasso

to my understanding lasso tool isnt much complicated. all you have to do is click and go around the object u want to cut out and it will do it for you. Hope this helps
 
But how do I stop and then go around another part, after i go around one part and click it goes away, if i try to keep going it goes all crazy.


We need better tutorials i think, more in-depth and tells you where everything is.
 
Ok i figured out the lasso thing but now i can't make it over all the parts i want to change the color of, just that one.

Thats all conditional. Remeber its a warcaft tutorial site; not a photo impact tutorial site.

There are already photo impact tutorials all over the internet.

Plus, the manual would be about 1000 pages long.

Same with modeling programs.

We have no modeling tutorials beause, a typical CAD manual is about two inches thick. At most, these types of tutorials would only teach how it relates to warcraft, and how to get a final product into your map.
 
Ok so forget about that but can you still help me with the lasso tool prob.
 
I fear that, If I answer this, you'll just have another Photo Impact question comming.... right?

To add MULTIPLE selection areas, theres a box, plus, and minus on the top toolbar.

Plus means add to selection.
Minus subracts from the selection.
The box always makes a new selection.

Note, you can click and draw / drag and outline with the lasso tool, or you can click points. Or a combination of both.

    I have two salmon, Sockeye and Atlantic. Atlantic is used for the kids salmon and the salmon and beet salad, and can also be added onto any dish or just as a side. Atlantic salmon will almost exclusively ever be FARMED, as it is endangered in the wild, and we ALWAYS cut them to 4 ounces.

    SOCKEYE salmon, very different and this IS wild caught. We have an ENTREE version, and an add on version. The entree is 7 ounces, the add on is 4. Why? Because that is how someone that wasn't me set up the computer.
