i can veiw them in the editor but when i go to test the map it just shows blizzards model

suggestions?

didnt do too much to the archer, just made her sentinel-ish i might do more if i can think of anything

the sorceress is going to eventually look undead.

The Night Elf archer looks a little funky but the Sorceress skin looks good. I also ahd the same problem with a gold skeleton, which nobody seemed to know why it didn't work.

i used photoshop. and yeah im getting annoyed by the skins not working in game.

what did you end up doing with the skin?

The archers breasts seem to have no definitive shape. Use the burn tool to carefully darken & shade the clevage and outer boundris more. Right now the colors just kind of run together.

On the wardrobe pentogram, its one solid color. Use the burn tool again, very carefully, around all the edges to shade it. It looks like crayon/marker.

Heres a tip. When you make the 'tatoo' pentagon, and designs on clothing. Make the pentagon a 'seperate' object. Then change the properties of the grams object.

Here you can change the merging options. What some of the merging options will do, is MERGE the saturations and hue.

So you place the pentogram over it, and change the merge. What you'll see is, the pentagram AUTOMATICALY aquires the shading of the robe or body, making it look like it truly is on the robe. Plus, now you don't have to shade it - the merge shaded it for you, to match exactly.

LASTLY - if you really dig in the warcraft viewer, you'll find shaded and glowing pentagons, runes, and effect designs.

I have a habbit of stealing them and pasting them into a skin. (Then people ask, 'how did you make that glow?') heh heh.

i didnt change any tones on the ranger except for the bow and arrow (i was just figitting around) the breasts are all on blizzard

Are they not changing at all? Or are only certain parts showing?

The first one is a bad path.

The second reason is the alpha channels.

im not saying this is leagal in any fashion, but you can just download it of a p2p server.


and ryoko. it works perfectly well in the editor but i hit test map and instead of my skin it shows blizzards default skin and what do you mean by alpha channels?

i have updated the sorc a bit too ill post at the end of the day when she is finished.

here is the update shes supposed to have exposed muscle tissue i dont think its what i was looking for...

and for all you people who know the dynamics of skinning i put the .blp display on here because maybe there is a defect in the skin that you could point out?

Ha ha.

You got tricked. The sorceress skin in war3.mpq is not used anymore.

It was updated with the release of TFT. SO! It has a different path.

It should be:

Units\Human\BloodElfSorceress\BloodElfSorceress.blp

Or something similar. Check with WC3 viewer which one it is. Open war3x.mpq, instead of war3.mpq.

guys... how come my skins i make don't work !?!?!? i do what i do in photoshop and followed the tutorial ... but i really don't get it can anybody help me out here with my skins one is suppose to be mario but when i test it in the game its still the same its really pissing me off...
