Sound Card

My computer sucks. Anyway, just reformatted and am re-installing everything, such as drivers, hardware, etc.. I have a Soundblaster Live! sound card and I installed it and it didn't really install or something. I still can't play sound, because well, the sound card isn't installed. Each time after I install it, the computer wants to install several other devices, including one unknown multimedia device and one that is called unknown device...Any help on the sound card? Want to know anything else?
