It is possible to create soundsets to use of diferent maps and characters?

The Sound Editor allows you to replace internal sounds.
No idea whether that's practical though on large scale changes...

Like the world editor says as it loads, you can change any aspect of this game.
Although I dont know how to do what you are asking, I am sure if you wait long enough or search hard enough you will find out how to.

All I can say is I have heard of it being done before.

well, all that i wanted was to put some nice custom sound interface like the acknolegement and the attack to a custom unit.....
