Special Effect Variable

Please ignore the thread title. I made a mistake earlier but ran into another problem and decided, rather than opening a new thread and wasting forum space I would just edit this one with my new problem


Is it possible to store a special effect into a variable?

I don't mean Set SpecialEffect = (Last created special effect)

I mean set SpecialEffect = ThunderClap. Or SpecialEffect = ImportedSpecialEffect etc etc

Yes, the SFX pathing is a string

• Custom script: set SFX="Abilities\\Spells\\Human\\Thunderclap\\ThunderClapCaster.mdl"

SFX is string
And notice how I've doubled all the slashes ( from "\" to "\\" )
And string must be in ""

Actually you don't have to write this into a custom script. And in custom script needs ""
In gui you can write one slash
