I'm starting a map with one of my friends, and I was trying to put some custom spells into it. I tried to place a kamehameha spell into it, but when i saved it said
Script Errors
Kamehameha
56 compile errors
and listed 56 lines where something was wrong i guess.
I tried to do a few different triggers. None of them worked.
The spells are in Jass.
I tried to follow the instructions, but I just can't figure it out.
I tried to add Sword Lock and Kamehameha both of which I'll put in attatchments. If somebody could please tell me why it won't work, and, or put the spells into my map yourself if you can. My map will be titled WarmanView attachment Kamehameha.w3xView attachment warman.w3xView attachment Sword Lock.w3x

JASS doesn't require any other programs, but vJASS does. Plus, there's no downside to getting NewGen. It's beneficial to even GUI users IMO.

Well I tried downloaded Newgen and JassHelper, but its really hard to understand and i really dont get it. There seems to be a ton of stuff in there when all im trying to do is put in some new spells. Everytime i check the spells there seems to be more things wrong with them. One of them has 555 another has 512 another has 81 and the other has 428. Im not really sure how to use Newgen thingy anyways, but it doesn't seem to do anything. Especially since there are tons of other programs in newgen that i cant open because i dont know what program created them so i have no idea what to do

If you took enough time to read the installing instructions you woudnt have any trouble. NewGen is exactly as world editor but with some extra options, and most of them can't even be seen. All of the programs inside the folder are irrelevant (you don't have to open them) just open the NewGen editor

Well I can't find anything anywhere about importing triggers and making them work in the manual thing or any of the readmes

Importing triggers is as easy as copy and paste, the important thing is to open the editor through newgen, pleas read the installing instructions

How can you tell the difference between real traffic and indexing or AI generation bots?
  • The Helper The Helper:
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
  • Varine Varine:
I want to build a filtration system for my 3d printer, and that shit is so much more complicated than I thought it would be
  • Varine Varine:
Apparently ABS emits styrene particulates which can be like .2 micrometers, which idk if the VOC detectors I have can even catch that
  • Varine Varine:
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
  • Varine Varine:
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
  • Varine Varine:
These sensors are also a lot more than I thought they would be. Like 5 to 10 each, idk why but I assumed they would be like 2 dollars
  • Varine Varine:
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
  • Varine Varine:
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
  • The Helper The Helper:
Maybe you could find some of that information from AC tech - like how they detect freon and such
  • Varine Varine:
That's mostly what I've been looking at
  • Varine Varine:
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
  • Varine Varine:
I mean I don't use this enough to pose any significant danger I don't think, but I would still rather not be throwing styrene all over the air

I bitch about Xenforo sometimes but it really is full featured you just have to really know what you are doing to get the most out of it.
  • The Helper The Helper:
It is just not easy to fix styles and customize but it definitely can be done
  • The Helper The Helper:
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
