Spells malfunction...?

I've tried to make my own spell with fancy effects etc. The effects works fine. But i can't get 2 things to work.

1: The dummyunit made for actually casting the "spell" doesn't casts it.

The spell is made from Undead/Deathcoil spell with custom effects on it.
It's made into a non-hero ability
The spell is given the Dummy-Unit

I can't order the unit to cast custom spell via the trigger...!?
(I've tried with order it to cast Undead/deathcoil since the spell is based on that default-spell, But that didn't work either)


2: The the unit's animation don't work.

I want the Hero to use he's Spell Channel-animation while the fance stuff goes on. But now it looks like he uses he's Spell-Animation twice instead.

( Unit is Bloodmage )

BcBoy post your triggers and i will see what is wrong and as for the animations you can change it(if its a channeling ability change it right at the top of the spell)
If not u can trigger your unit to play its channeling animation.

I fixed the animation by doing this.
Trigger:
  • Actions
    • Wait 0.01 seconds
    • Animation - Reset Invoker's animation



Dummyspell caster trigger.
Trigger:
  • Beta Copy
    • Events
      • Unit - A unit Begins casting an ability
    • Conditions
      • (Casting unit) Equal to Invoker
      • (Ability being cast) Equal to Flame Nova
    • Actions
      • Wait 0.50 seconds
      • Animation - Play Invoker's Spell animation
      • Unit - Create 1 DUMMY_Flame Nova for (Owner of Invoker) at (Position of Invoker) facing (Facing of (Target unit of ability being cast)) degrees
      • Unit - Order (Last created unit) to Undead Death Knight - Death Coil Target
      • Unit - Add a 0.50 second Generic expiration timer to (Last created unit)


I didn't posted the effects. But they don't use the same variabels, or have anything in common.

Target? shouldnt this be target unit of ability being cast because i dont see u set it to anything.
ALSO MAJOR THING TO REMEMBER IS TO CHANGE MANA COST, CAST RANGE AND COOLDOWN IF NEEDED.
Also make sure u add the spell either in object editor or by triggering it.
And if its leveled u need to set it after u add the spell and before u order the cast.

Got it to work.

The "Target" of course was assign earlier.

The problem was that i accidently made 2 dummy-spells with the same name. So one of them was unedited and costed mana. Noticed this when double checking the mana-cost.

Thanks for help.
