Sprint Nextel Corp. has recently disconnected over 1,000 customers for calling its customer service lines too often. The company said in a statement, "These customers were calling to a degree that we felt was excessive." The letters of cancellation went out just days before the company launched a new ad campaign dubbed "Sprint Ahead."

> Isn't it called AT&T now?

No. The AT&T thing is kind of complicated. First, there were Southwestern Bell and AT&T. Then Southwestern Bell became SBC and bought AT&T, then SBC changed its name back to AT&T. After that, this new AT&T bought Cingular. That's when you saw the commercials for the "New AT&T". So, it's really a combination of those 3 companies now. Nothing to do with Sprint Nextel Corp. :D
