Does anyone know of a system which allows the player to control and create squadrens. Basically the player can pick like 5 riflemen and then the become a single squad which will share orders and use abilities in unison.
why do not you use the game's squad sys:
Select x soldiers , press CTRL + 1 for example and when they press 1 it will select the squad.(max 12 soldiers)
these systems are not hard to make, i made a few in my finest hours of map making, however, they hard to be made decent.
with my best attempt i did following. i gave all units inside the squad the "rally" ability. then i set the rally point for all of them to a dummy unit, in my case it was a team-coloured flag. i also made them unselectable using locust (depending on your game this may or may not been an option for you).
now the player could only select the flag-dummy-unit.
whenever the player gave an order to the flag you pick all the units which have the flag set as their rally point (you could also pre-save them inside a unit-group variable or a hashtable to save some performance) and then you copy the order given to the flag-dummy-unit to all units in that group.
some nice additional effects you might do with the flag. you can use the flags hitpoints to show the hitpoints of the whole group. like give the flag 100 hitpoints for every unit in the group (there are systems to set max hitpoints) and then every time a unit inside that group is damaged / healed / killed / whatsoever set the hitpoints of the flag accordingly. mana might be used to show the number of units inside the group or whatever.
but a little adive. systems like these make only sense if you are playing with a fairly high amount of units. and wc3 is known to give a poorly job when it comes to a high amount of units. it just doesnt really work with the standard wc3 AI and it might lag like hell.
i for example decided to drop the project using this system because i saw pretty early it doesnt make sense to use such a system with the limited amount of units i could possibly use in wc3.
The bots will show up as users online in the forum software but they do not show up in my stats tracking. I am sure there are bots in the stats but the way alot of the bots treat the site do not show up on the stats
Anyway I need to get some of those sensors and two air pressure sensors installed before an after the filters, which I need to figure out how to calculate the necessary pressure for and I have yet to find anything that tells me how to actually do that, just the cfm ratings
And then I have to set up an arduino board to read those sensors, which I also don't know very much about but I have a whole bunch of crash course things for that
Another issue I'm learning is that a lot of the air quality sensors don't work at very high ambient temperatures. I'm planning on heating this enclosure to like 60C or so, and that's the upper limit of their functionality
Although I don't know if I need to actually actively heat it or just let the plate and hotend bring the ambient temp to whatever it will, but even then I need to figure out an exfiltration for hot air. I think I kind of know what to do but it's still fucking confusing
I don't think I'm dealing with quite the same pressures though, at the very least its a significantly smaller system. For the time being I'm just going to put together a quick scrubby box though and hope it works good enough to not make my house toxic
I do know this - xenforo dropped the ball by not keeping the vbulletin reputation comments as a feature. The loss of the Reputation comments data when we switched to Xenforo really was the death knell for the site when it came to all the users that left. I know I missed it so much and I got way less interested in the site when that feature was gone and I run the site.
