starcraft help

[Unregistered guy]

Hi, As soon as i turn on my starcraft it minimizes.... same thing with my need for speed underground. I try to maximize it again but it jsut minimizes. the only way for me to play is to restart my comp. but in like 6 or 7 hours i play the games again it minimizes

but i can play counterstrike, day of defeat, and other games....

I haven't answered a StarCraft question in ages but here goes. Make sure you are not running any programs in the background. Depending on what Windows you are using you hit ctrl+alt+del and get to the Task Manager. If you see Explorer leave it running.

Also try setting your desktop resolution to 640x480 and 256 colors. That is what StarCraft runs in and sometimes there are problems switching Video modes.

Post back with your OS and system specs if you still have problems.

I too have a problem, and I run on Windows XP Professional, so would that apply to me too (the closing of other applications)?

It should not be a problem with XP. You should start a brand new thread about your problem. Make sure you include your system specifications and any error messages you might be receiving.
