Stealing Items & Melee-Range

1. Anybody know what base ability I would use to create a spell like that for a HERO?

the ability to steal GOLD mostly, or the ability to steal ITEMS from a units inventory ? I would like it to steal GOLD, but if anybody has any suggestions or ideas plz help.

2. Is there anyway, or an item i can base off, that say, if you buy an item, and ur a melee hero, u become range? or if ur range, and u buy an item , you become melee? like if an arhcer wanted to be a melee, hed by a "sword" that makes him melee, and vice -versa?

To steal gold isnt that hard.

Base it off an ability with a single target.

A unit begins casting an ability.
Ability equal to Steal Gold
Player - Add (((Owner of (Target unit of ability being cast)) Current gold) / 10) to (Owner of (Casting unit)) Current gold

Use that for your action.

That will give 10% of the targets players gold to the casting unit.

Hmm....

Well you can do many things. The first is to use Long Rifles as an upgrade and apply negative or positive bonuses to range. The only issue is that, because of the stupid system, you can't unlearn stats so as to go down to the last upgrade--it'd be a permanent change.

You can also try disabling and enabling attack 1 and 2 of the person.

Last of all, I hope you know that giving them 10 range will make them play their standard animation. An archer with 10 range will still fire her bow. A footman with 500 range will still swing his sword.

yeah i know about the animation thing, cant try the item right now, not on a WE comp. but yeah i know about the animation thing...

and for the gold steal, i couldnt add the "/10" after my current gold? how can i make it a precentage? not a gurantee ?

The /10 is a math question, called arithmatic (i cant spell)

It has 2 values, and the middle is the math sign, Add, Subtract, Multiply Divide
