Strange problem

For some reason, my used disk space has been increasing....and i have not downloaded or installed anything lately. The used disk space was 7.? three days ago, and 2 days ago it was 8.2 and then yesterday it was 8.7 and today it is 9.52. Ive ran Kaspersky 5 virus scan, ad-aware 6, spybot S&D and nothing showed up. What in the world is happening?

Use the Windows Find command to search for all files with a size of 0 bytes. Some files are normal, but if the list of files like that grows daily and they aren't in temp directories, then something is amiss.

Thx for the quick reply Logica_1. Using the windows search, I can only look for stuff that are less than 1 kb (or am i wrong?). And now it just went up to 9.56 (from 9.52) and all i did was play a game without saving.

You could try a search for files by date, and look at the ones that were recently added, and go from there?

Are you the only user on this computer?

Ok, I decided to reformat since I noticed that I have a TON of junk on my computer. Thx so much for everyone that contributed to this thread.
