Working on a Map
Woah, the new hero is pretty complex, but her skillset allows me to stun a single target for quite a long time. However, I find her attack animation to be rather slow.
Perhaps I should build her as AGI + INT instead of building her pure INT. This would probably make her combo easier to pull off and, perhaps, more effective. Another way I can think of right now would be to build her pure agility with some strength, using her stuns to lock down a target and unload arrows in their face.

I tested out the Blade Mistress again. Her glaive thing is pretty fun to use, once I got the hang of how it works. However, it feels out of place. Its the only ability that scales off Skill Power (or whatever its called 0_o). If another one of her abilities scaled off Skill Power as well (I'm thinking her passive), it would be interesting to invest some points into Intelligence and build a caster Blade Mistress, or simply split the points between Agility and Intelligence to build a DPS/Caster Hybrid.
I intend to try out Tank Blade Mistress when I have the time, it would be pretty funny, tanking all that damage and throwing it back at the enemy :p

BTW, are you free for online testing anytime soon? I'm on break for 2 months (1.5 months left) so I have loads of free time on my hands :p

I just joined, however =D

About the new Hero:
She is able to stun multiple heroes for a maximum of 3.75 seconds, if you "unload" everything while attacking inbetween. It might sound imbalanced, but her strengths come with a set of weaknesses, besides that, she is very variable =P
I've played her STR/AGI against close combat enemies, which gave me the advantage of agile movement and disable. It didn't take VERY long to bring down a tank build, however, you REALLY have take care when kiting.
Same goes for a pure INT build with STR as a secondary attribute, but you're slightly more squishy and you can't dodge as effective. However your damage output exceeds :3

So yeah, as you said, she's very complex and difficult to handle =P Maybe a bit too powerfull, I'll have to see if she needs balancing.

As for the Blade Mistress: I didn't really think about something that synergizes that much, because it was the first hero I made for this map ;D
So, I made things as they are for her, because it had a right feeling to it ;D

So... Maybe make the Blade Crest ability depend on INT instead of a static amount of reduction?

I havn't been able to work on the systems in a while, but I guess I will start re-doing the duel system this weekend.

So, nothing should be changed about the functionality of my first system?

No EXP for Fatal Strike? I typed in whosyourdaddy in single player mode if that's any help :D I wanted to see if I got massive exp. I'm also mainly interested in your heroes, and there is no testing mode or something D: I want to play all heroes, hah. They're cool spells.

Nope =)
I disabled that, because it's just plain stupid to give EXp to someone that obviously doesn't need any from lowly mobs/players.

Well, there is no testing mode =P
But, meh, don't really need it, do you?

But I love testing cool things out, restarting then waiting for purchase delay gets tiring D:
YOu got your point there, however, since it's stressed to be played with more than one player, I guess it doesn't really help if I implement stuff only for one player =P

OK, I havn't been working on this for awhile, but will have time to do so next weekend.

I'll also upload a few screenshots along with updating the first post with various commands + describtions tomarrow =)

This weekend, I'll code the new duelsystem and upload the new Version with various tweaks/improvements/balances/typo fixes/etc.

I've started to code the last (for the first tavern) Hero, The Shadow Hunter and will be done by the end of this week.

Concept and mechanics are all made by a friend of mine. Expect an awesome assassin to be put into the hero mix ! =)

Hi there :) 1st of all - I realy like your map, the spells are very unique, the heroes are themed :)thup:), the terrain is good and well = all in all a very good game.

TIP: You could change the "-show" to escape instead, as you do not use that button for anything - and it would make it a lot easier to check stats:p

And also thanks for the feedback =) Though, I'd really wish for some participation and opinions on important subjects, such as the new duelsystem =P

Anyways, that being said, I'll update the thread with a sneak-peak on the new Hero, The Shadow Hunter, along with a few screenshots =)

oh, found another bug, the vampire charge spell can be used to move in and out of both healing area and dual area (as they are both squares that would be an easy fix)

Update on Progress:
  • Fixed various typos
  • Carnophobiate (Vampyre's charge skill) and Terra Crush (Warlord's AOE knockback skill) no longer push enemies/yourself into the Arena or Safezone
  • Shadow Hunter's first 2 skills


  • New Duelsystem is being tested

You need to plan what you want to achieve and then find the most efficient and logic way to solve that "problem".

There is no specific skills in that, really =P

Anyways, you can always suggest things you want to see in this map =P

I agree on that. There isn't one way for things, only maybe some known ways. You can always reinvent the wheel

Btw, you say you can edit missiles? I have a request

    @Varine with the restaurants, there surely is a lot of luck and hard work but most restaurants fail because they suck. Flair isn't right, economics not well thought through, food is mediocre or sucks, location is bad, etc. If you're thinking about opening one, make sure you're looking at the stories of those that would be playing at your level, don't let your hopes be dragged down by all the subpar restaurants out there.

    The CompTIA stuff is pretty much crap unfortunately. The places that ask for those low-level certs aren't likely places you want to work. For IT you really want a degree, but in the meantime you need to figure out some way to learn the skills. Cybersecurity is really hot right now so competition is fierce.

    My daughter just got back from school at Georgetown TX, outside of Austin and said there were 100 cases in the last week but she also said nobody was wearing a mask anywhere so people mask up and stay safe!
