I've mentioned this a while ago but I'm saying it again. My new map, which has gone on for a rather long time without me trashing it is going pretty well. I expect it will be finished in an year. :eek: It'll be a huge project and any help will be appreciated. I am currently gathering many ideas for my map any ideas are welcome. It'll be a RPG I expect, with some minor twists. Please submit any comments or ideas.

*Currently pondering

-If there should be different races and race specialties: Orc, Elves, Humans ect.

-If there should be mines where you could break some rock and find valuables or something.

-Allowing players to unally at anytime and beat each other up. (Not in towns though.)

-Random item drops from creeps.

Update

*Update

-Planning heroes, got four finished, Samurai, Barbarian, Pyromancer and Priest.

-Started first city.

-Imported some triggers needed for the game, revival trigger (many thanks to Ryoko and Save Load Trigger (Which I haven't tried out yet.)

-Brainstorming some more unique ideas.

-Learned a lot of new stuff. (Recently played TOB and LOL2. Couldn't play before because always get booted.)

*Heroes

Samurai

Stun *Self Explaining.

Multi-Strike *Vex's spell. Blink strike, blink strike ect.

Sword Dance *Altered bladestorm which slows units while casting.

Double *Mirror Image tweaked a bit.

Something else, forgot, don't have notepad with me now... :D

Feedback? Other ideas for abillities? Starting abillity?

*New idea: Like Diablo or other games, archers or ranged attackers (throwing dagger, spear ect.) will have a record of the amount of times they can throw left...*lumber...which will constantly refill itself slowly.

(there may even be abillities like, Quick Refill, *gives user fifty arrows or whatever* for archers or other characters.

Smithing, combinding included in game, every enemy will have different droppable items, and all of them can be used to create something. *Will however, require a lot of triggers.

Map release date put back another few months. Haven't been working on it for weeks...*school

Um...about the terrain, should there be deserts or icy wastes or something like that? It would put some more diversity into the terrain but...I really hate having to somehow, make two terrains fit together and look right.

I think that's mostly up to you. :) The map idea sounds good, but do you think you can finish it all alone?

Well, this is a pretty big project which I'll probably be working on for a long, long time, but, i think I'll be able to finish. (*Think*) It's gonna be a heck of a great map if it comes out as I hope it will, so, I'm planning on finishing it, no matter how long it takes.

I have, of course, considered having a mapping partner, but I really think it's kind of annoying to have to send maps around and wait for the other person to do something or so on. I might work with somebody else, but most likely not. I like working alone mostly. *Though it'll take me a looong time to finish alone. :D

-All ideas still welcome.

Rate the Terrain

Here's my, not-even-close-to-being-finished map. It'll probably be an open rpg or something like that. One where you can do almost anything. Here is the map...please comment on the terrain. (And yes, I know, I haven't done much, just get too lazy sometimes... :( )

And, uh...there might be some more decoration needed for the city, minor details that I haven't added in yet. So don't rate it too harsh. (?/10)

Notes: The Elf and the Phoenix and the Water Elemental are just for testing my map...so don't mind them. And, the shop names need a little changing...so nevermind that too. :D

A dueling system considered, where a player types, -duel red, and it shows a dialog box for red: Duel: Yes or No. And if red selects yes, he is teleported to arena. *Players are not teleported back to their original spots after duel...Or maybe...*

This is to prevent level 100 players or whatever to beat the hell out of level 7 players every time they leave the city, ruining the game for lower level people...
