Am I the only one whose noticed? Maybe. Probably. I expect it to be so.

The world seems to be taking quite a few hits lately. 9/11. Tsunami. Katrina.

All in a matter of 4 years, correct? Now, some people MAY want to come out and be like "WILL OF GOD! HE SHALL CRUSH YOU ALL" like someone actually cares about that crap. :) But it just appears as if Earth's getting to be one hell of a hostile place to live.

Anyone have any thoughts/ideas/preachings we call all ignore?

They say bush knew about it before it happened.

Just a natural disater caused from an under water earthquake.

Thats what happens when you build a city 20 feet under the sea level, and then hold off the surrounding water with dams or whatever they used that the hurricane destroyed. They knew it would happen, and it will happen again.

Speaking of Bush.

Hear about that "approval of work" poll? There's some poll where people rate how good they think Bush is at his job. After 9/11, he got up in like 80%. Now it's down past 40%. Apparently people don't like the way he's operating this time around.

Another point made in my Law and Gov't. class. It is against the Constitution to take more then 2 Presidential terms, a grand total of 8 years. Some people don't like this because they feel that once your elected the second time, the President may feel he can take it easy. Who's he have to impress? The American public? Screw the public, this is my last run, punks! That sorta thing. What do you think about that? Cause, in my opinion, it sorta seems like Bush is heading down that angle...

Heh, shoulda named this "Random Debates from Alexander because he's bored with nothing better to do in Intermediate Computer Applications"

Now, the Tsunami and Katrina, I have a belief about. I've always, ALWAYS been a huge believer in "Survival of the fittest". [*] Humans aren't fit anymore. Or at least, some of them aren't, and they still survive. People create cures and dispell diseases, and we wonder why the world is so overpopulated? People are living into their 100+'s. What the hell? That's not good... People shouldn't live to be 100+. It's over then, guys. Hell, a lot of these people can't even do anything for themselves.

Personally, when I turn 70, I'm shooting myself. Once I start needing people to get through my day, I'm shooting myself. I just can't take that... To me, that's sorta sad.

Yes, I am sick/sadistic/and probably going to get a lot of -rep from this thread :D

But hey, it's a debate ;) Deal with it.

The ironic thing is that most of these disasters would have really been nothing more than passing events, but it was gross human stupidity and negligence that blew them to the proportions that they grew to.

you have had too much coffee if you think that conquest or pestilence are religious debate things.

Alright, then...

Nevermind. I'll debate at school with someone who actually enjoys it instead :P

Yeah google does not filter those bots. I remember when Apex was doing Google ads I saw the same IPs in there as I was seeing here - google is totally tracking all those bots as traffic and most google traffic, at least ours, was all bots

Weekend went by too fast. Next weekend I am going to try to do a nature thing - buddy of mine lives by the Colorado river and has some kayaks and invited me to do some kayaking from a place he knows to get on the river.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    That sounds like an adventure.
  • The Helper The Helper:

I wonder how all these bots that sit on the lastest content page get passed anubis or maybe they did not but they are just registering on whos online
  • The Helper The Helper:

The first gate is stopping all the bots that don't execute javascript.
  • Ghan Ghan:
That's the main thing with Anubis - no Javascript, no site. Typically you can still get the site to load without Javascript.
  • The Helper The Helper:
I remember the whole javascript thing, question - how many real people disable that?
  • The Helper The Helper:
Hell I guess I could go back on the stats to know that - we probably capture that and we know the before and after
  • Ghan Ghan:
Real users can't really disable Javascript anymore these days.
  • Ghan Ghan:
The internet is broken without it.
  • Ghan Ghan:
    Bot readable, not human usable.
  • The Helper The Helper:
    got it
